Title: Site Support & Safety Specialist
Full Time: Contractor, Remote
Rate: $3-4 per hour
Are you passionate about keeping online communities safe and fostering genuine connections? We are a growing dating platform, and we're looking for a dedicated Site Support & Safety Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be on the front lines of our user experience. You won't just be answering tickets—you will be actively handling user emails, guiding people through their dating journey on our app and website, and ensuring our platform remains a safe, welcoming environment free of bad actors.
A Day in the Life
No two days are exactly the same, but a typical day in this role involves a mix of problem-solving, user protection, and operational support. You can expect to:
Investigate & Protect: Put on your "detective" hat to spot suspicious activities, investigate user reports, and identify potential scammers or community policy violations.
Engage & Manage Correspondence: Read and respond to user emails regarding account access, upgradation requests, and any queries with empathy. You'll also monitor, organize, and prioritize the general inbox, forwarding complex queries to the right team members.
Maintain Quality: Review flagged profiles, photos, and messages to ensure they meet our community safety standards.
Administration & Reporting: Accurately input data, maintain up-to-date trackers, prepare documents using Google Workspace, and compile daily or weekly operational summaries for management.
Collaborate & Improve: Work closely with our core team to assist with ad-hoc projects, coordinate communications, and proactively suggest simple solutions to improve daily administrative workflows.
What We’re Looking For:
A detective-like mindset—you love connecting the dots and can quickly spot when a profile or interaction feels "off."
Previous experience in customer support, content moderation, or inbox handling (experience with a dating site or social network is a huge plus!).
Excellent written communication skills with strong grammar and an empathetic tone.
The ability to handle sensitive user issues with care, discretion, and resilience.
Qualifications:
Proven Experience: 1-2 years experience as an Administrative Assistant, non-voice chat support, data entry, Virtual Assistant, site support, Operation Support, or Admin Agent, preferably in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and vendors.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail in data entry, proofreading, and schedule management.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage time, prioritize competing tasks, and maintain structured digital filing systems.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets) and comfortable learning new CRM or project management tools.
Adaptability: Ability to work remotely and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with flexibility, taking initiative, and operating independently with your responsibilities.
